Validation of Alzheimer's novel neuroimaging biomarker Lead Investigator: Joao Ramos Institution : NeuropsyAI E-Mail : joaoramos@neuropsycad.com Proposal ID : 1003 Proposal Description: 1) Our aim is to improve the early diagnosis in patients with dementia disorders. If we find that a high (>85 percent) accuracy is maintained in this validation stage, then there is scope to translate it into a clinical tool to assist in diagnosis, used by neurologists, psychiatrists and neuroradiologists. 2) Our goal is to validate our already developed algorithms in order to test the reproducibility of the accuracy (>85) of this novel neuroimaging biomarker, now in a larger independent sample of Parkinson, Alzheimer and MCI patients so as to assess if it is a clinically useful tool that can be launched at scale. We believe this tool can radically change Alzheimer's diagnosis allowing both for dramatic cost (~80 percent) and time-efficiency improvements, while detecting it earlier than traditional methods.
